Belfast comes from the Irish Béal Feiriste ie the mouth of the Farset, a river that flows through Belfast. Henry Joy McCracken, a native, founded the Society of the United Irishmen. Belfast's attractions include Belfast Zoo, Belfast Opera House, Belvoir Forest Park and the Botanic Gardens. Belfast was the birthplace of the Titanic.
